TOPS, under Central Retail, proudly welcomed senior officials from the Ministry of Public Health and the Thai Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to Central Chaengwattana for the "Choose to Buy, Choose to Eat: Safe and Health-Conscious" event, part of the FDA's ongoing consumer protection initiative to raise food safety standards nationwide.

The event was presided over by Mr. Arthit Meethong, Secretary to the Minister of Public Health, who officiated the opening ceremony. Representing the Thai Food and Drug Administration (FDA) were Ms. Supattra Boonserm, Secretary-General; Dr. Suparit Henkrawit, Deputy Secretary-General; and Mrs. Supavadee Terawatsakul, Director of the Food Division.

On behalf of TOPS, Mrs. Orawan Sirichottirat, Head of Corporate Affairs & Government Relations of Central Retail Food, and Mrs. Araya Phaoleangtong, Head of Quality Assurance of Central Food Retail under Central Retail, extended a warm welcome to the delegation upon arrival at Central Chaengwattana, alongside Ms. Jarunee Sapapharat, Manager – Customer Experience at Central Pattana (CPN).

As part of the visit, the senior delegation from the Minister of Public Health and the FDA also toured the Healthiful zone at TOPS FOOD HALL, Central Chaengwattana, showcasing TOPS’ curated selection of health-conscious products from Thailand — including TOPS’ own brands, TOPS Tongtin’s products, — alongside selections from around the world. The group also visited Jing Jai Farmers’ Market, a dedicated zone featuring safe, chemical-free produce and regional specialities sourced directly from local growers across Thailand.

The visit reaffirmed TOPS’ longstanding commitment to food safety and consumer wellbeing. Through the Healthiful concept, TOPS brings together premium, quality-assured health food products under one roof, making it easier for shoppers to make informed, healthier choices. This commitment aligns closely with the FDA’s mission to safeguard consumers from unsafe or misleading food products and to promote greater public awareness of food labelling and healthier product selection.

As part of the broader event, the FDA also deployed its Mobile Unit for Food Safety to conduct on-site inspections and rapid testing for food contaminants, alongside exhibitions and public seminars on food safety awareness, reflecting a shared commitment between the public and private sectors to protect consumer health.
