TOPS, under Central Retail, hosted the “TOPS TONGTIN Open House: Discover the Best of Local SMEs Across Four Regions” for Northern Thailand at Jing Jai Market, Chiang Mai, together with the Government Savings Bank (GSB) and local Science Park networks. The 3-day event welcomed 100 Northern SMEs who presented over 400 local products during one-on-one Business Matching sessions with the TOPS TONGTIN buying team. Demonstrating strong local identity and high potential, over 80% of participants passed the initial selection for nationwide TOPS distribution and potential expansion into international partner networks across 12 countries. The event also featured a Flea Market with 30 supplier booths alongside quality-assurance seminars.
The opening ceremony was honoured by the presence of Mrs. Nattaporn Mahapaiboon, Chiang Mai Provincial Commerce Officer, as a distinguished guest. The ceremony was jointly led by TOPS executive Mr. Brian Hill, Head of International Business and Partnership of Central Food Retail under Central Retail, together with key partners — Mrs. Chalinee Kanthavanich, Senior Vice President SMEs Startup Entrepreneur Development Department of Government Savings Bank, and Dr. Chanwit Tridech, Director, Technology and Innovation Business Promotion Group, Division of Promotion and Coordination for Science, Research and Innovation Utilization.
