Central Retail Food Secures 2 Accolades at SOS Thailand Awards 2026, Reaffirming Leadership in Sustainable Food Management

Central Retail Food, led by TOPS and GO WHOLESALE under Central Retail, reaffirms its commitment to driving food ecosystem sustainability and enhancing food security in Thailand by securing 2 honors at the SOS Thailand Awards 2026 | Celebrating 10 Years of Food Rescue.

Organized by the Scholars of Sustenance Foundation (SOS Thailand), these awards honor partner organizations that demonstrate outstanding roles in reducing food surplus and creating tangible positive impacts, evaluated across 3 main criteria: FOOD (surplus food donation), FUND (financial and CSR support), and FRIEND (PR and non-monetary resources).

The awards were presented by Mr. Tawee Impoolsup, Country Manager for Thailand at Scholars of Sustenance Foundation (SOS Thailand). Representing Central Retail Food, Miss Teerada Siripant , Head of Sustainability, accepted the honors.

TOPS received the highest honor, “The Best Sustaining Partner Award”, marking 8 consecutive years of partnership under the ‘Food For Good Deed’ project. TOPS has delivered over 2,100,000 kilograms of surplus food—equivalent to more than 9,000,000 meals—to local communities, reducing food waste and improving food access. In 2026, TOPS is expanding the project reach from 4 to 6 provinces, adding Pathum Thani and Samut Prakan alongside Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Prachuap Khiri Khan, while strengthening surplus food management through ongoing store staff training in collaboration with SOS Thailand.

GO WHOLESALE received “The Good Sustaining Partner Award”, marking its 2nd year of collaboration under the Food Surplus Donation project. Launched at the Charoen Rat branch in February 2025, the initiative has since expanded to cover 7 stores across 4 provinces. In 2026, GO WHOLESALE donated over 80,000 kilograms of surplus food, equivalent to more than 334,000 meals, improving food access for local communities.

This recognition reaffirms the shared commitment of Central Retail Food and SOS Thailand to maximizing the value of surplus food and ensuring that good food never goes to waste. It also reinforces “Surplus Food Management”—one of Central Retail Food’s 12 Missions to Sustainable Retail—reflecting the spirit of “Small Acts Together,” the belief that small, collective actions can create lasting positive impacts on society and the environment.
